His phone buzzes again, and Lan Zhan picks it up this time. To his surprise, it's a message from the Blood Bank.
The Blood Bank was a way for him to make money faster, beyond his usual teaching job, to help his mother. He tried not to think too much about the fact that there were random faceless vampires feasting on his blood.
Frowning to himself, Lan Zhan clicks the message.
"You have been selected as a special provider for a very prestigious client! The Yiling Laozu has chosen you to be a part of his regular collaborators!"
Lan Zhan raises an eyebrow when he sees the name.
Very few vampires are known amongst humans, because they keep well hidden, but Yiling Laozu is one of the most well-known ones.

Lan Zhan's blood gets the attention of a vampire who is well known to the entire world for his creations: Yiling Laozu. At the same time, a beautiful man he meets on a rooftop tries flirting with him, his aura strangely alluring.

And Tim has so much he wants to change, so much he wants. He wants to feel important to Bruce. He wants to be Dick's favorite. He wants Jason (his childhood hero) to think he's cool. He wants Damian to need him. And really, is it manipulation if his family benefits from it?
Or: He was halfway through the second trash can, when a startled “Good lord” caught him off guard. Tim glanced up, the rhythmic sucking of his pacifier coming to a still at the sight of a black Rolls Royce idling at the side road that lead to Wayne Manor. Alfred was staring at him from the over the car top, aghast. “Master Bruce, it’s not a raccoon.”
From the back seat, Bruce Wayne stared at him. Tim stared back.
Or: Tim is side tracked by his actual childish needs and wants, gets a whole bunch of his nannies fired, terrorizes his parents with a series of petty revenges, is an honest employer of one (1) newly minted murderer for hire, endears himself to – and thoroughly weirds out – the Waynes, and is generally just a petty, manipulative, vindictive, smol boy.

Hyun-su has been on heat suppressants for years, even though the only heats he'd been having, much like any omega his age, were pup heats. So when his heat strikes after he runs out of suppressants, and it's a real one, his biology throws a wrench in his newfound plans of surviving until the others don't need him: His heat is lethal if he doesn't mate. He's convinced to get help, but that has some lasting side effects.

Inosuke huffed. Zenitsu was so confusing. Most of the time, Inosuke just wanted to bite him—he looked very bitable—but Tanjiro had informed him this was not something humans were supposed to do.
Zenitsu waved his hands frantically. “Look—Inosuke—it’s not like—you’re super pretty and all, like really hot! But I—well, I guess Nezuko doesn’t like me as much as you do, but—!”
Inosuke jumped up. “I totally like you better!” The triumphant feeling coursed through him. Warm. The pink of Zenitsu’s cheeks was funny and his neck was very funny. Very bitable. He wanted to sink his teeth into the red flush of his skin.
Zenitsu licked his lips. “Inosuke…what are you thinking?”

Falls.
Like he does when he’s in that place between sleep and awake, but when he gets close to impact his eyes snap open and his body ‘lands’ in his bed.
Except, he lands in the SeaDragon. Watching the Tulkun attack the ship. A familiar red canister glinting at him from the corner of his eye.

Suddenly someone is among them, some dancing whirling black shape, and Lan Wangji should be helping his rescuer (if that’s what this is), but he can’t see and he can’t fight so he falls to his knees to make himself as small of a target as possible.
He’s gotten used to kneeling, anyway.
He hopes but it can’t be, it can’t be, there’s no way it’s Wei Wuxian, and yet he strains to see more clearly, to catch a flash of red in that swirl of black, to hear that joking voice, that laughter.
