What he found instead was an old - ancient, really - cassette player with a sign that read simply, “play me”. Later, Chimney would half tease, half chide him for not confirming that it was meant for him before doing as the sign said and Buck would laugh and agree that it was fairly presumptuous of him to do so, but really…there was no question as to who it was for.
Buck could recognize Eddie’s handwriting with his eyes closed.
Without so much as putting his bag down, Buck pressed play.
