Summary
When Eddie comes out as gay, he assures Steve that he doesn’t find him hot. Steve tells him it’s fine, he even teasingly asks what he should do to change that. It becomes a thing. A way to always make Eddie laugh, blush and relax around him—but as the days and weeks pass, Steve begins to realise that maybe there’s another reason why he cares so much that Eddie Munson finds him pretty.

The day before Eddie had to leave to go home again, Steve cried.
It was a secret that Steve kept close to his heart, that he knew Eddie Munson, that he'd known him long before Vecna, or the Upside Down, or even Nancy Wheeler.
To him, Eddie would always be summer sunshine and ice-cream melting down his hand and sweet laughter in the shade of the woods.
It was just a shame that Eddie seemed so determined to forget.
