Summary
Saruman has unleashed a curse on Middle-earth. A curse that causes all bitten to become abominations, the undead or zombies, as the men call them. Dwarves and other races alike have barricaded themselves into their homes, creating fortified strongholds to keep themselves safe.
All apart from Thorin and his Company, who have left Dis in charge of Erebor as they go on a fool’s errand to see if their hobbit is even still alive, and if he is, can Thorin convince Bilbo to leave the Shire, whatever is left of it, and return to safety and Erebor with him?

Bilbo has had enough of his (now ex) partner, Thranduil, and he is going to prove the other man wrong. He isn't the best that Bilbo can ever get, in fact Bilbo had just seen the most beautiful man across the pub, and he was going to prove to Thranduil and himself that he deserved the respect and attention that Thranduil couldn't, wouldn't give him.

In writing a story about Gerontius Took singing songs to all of his grandchildren I did a lot of work plotting out all of his many descendants.
