Wen Qing mostly expects Nie Mingjue to dismiss the idea out of hand. From what she's heard, he's largely uninterested in sexual manners altogether. She just hopes he can be calm about it.

Wen Qing carefully re-evaluates her earlier observations about lack of interest.
Or: Nie Mingjue needs to bottom to prevent a qi deviation.
How convenient, then, that he has two sworn brothers to help him!

And it is as he prays at his own altar, saying goodbye to the remains of Todoroki Touya for what is supposed to be the last time, that his sister walks in.
She wasn't supposed to. No one was supposed to know. Touya was supposed to die unseen, leaving something else in his place.
But she's here, and she's seen him, and Fuyumi has never been good at letting go of people, even when she maybe should.

Tobio does not cry at his grandfather's deathbed. Or his funeral. He sits at the shrine in his house and stares at a picture of Kazuyo unblinkingly, willing the tears to come. They don't.
His mother says he's taking it well. Pats him on the head and says he's very mature. But he feels wrong.
There's nothing inside him. Just a void. Nothing and nothing and nothing and something is wrong with him and he doesn't understand what.
Or: Grief is strange. Tobio doesn't know how to deal with it.

Everyone in a certain part of the city knows that if you want something - an object, a person, a legal document, a mystery solved or an obstacle removed - you go to him. He’s smart and fast and not afraid to get his hands dirty, and today he doesn’t have his hulking ogre of a boxer bodyguard with him. Probably he wants to go unnoticed… and he walked right into the tea shop, where the Lan guy is sitting.
