Summary
The world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We all have both light and darkness inside us, but what matters is the part we choose to act on.
As Harry was standing there, eye to eye with Sirius's younger brother, the apparently very much alive Regulus Black, he remembered those words Sirius had said to him a few years back. He asked himself, what had Sirius been thinking of then? Who had he been thinking of? Harry had assumed, that he had basically been talking about himself, and maybe Harry as well, but was that the whole truth?
Which part had Regulus Black chosen to act on?

In other words, this is a time travel fic, where Harry accidentally ends up almost twenty years back in time, in 1979, where he meets Regulus Black, very much alive. This is going to be a time travel fix-it, kind of.

He found the man approaching with an unnervingly gradual momentum. But no- that couldn’t be exactly right, because his feet had stayed firmly planted at the edge of the rug the whole time, which meant-

So tell me: are you sure you weren’t just looking for an excuse to disguise your own interest in the dark arts?”After the Sectumsempra incident, Slughorn has a suggestion. As a result, the whole castle is thrown into disarray, and everything Harry once thought he knew is turned on its head. It appears that no one is exactly what they seem, not even himself- and now, he’s somehow considered both a Gryffindor and a Slytherin. To make matters worse, he just cannot seem to get a decent night’s sleep.

The answer to his question came in the form of a sudden insistent tugging at the sleeve of Harry’s robe. He flinched back, and looked down to find the skeletal head of doe-eyed Thestral following the path of his hand in an attempt to lick off the blood that coated his arm. Harry froze for a minute, then grinned. He knew exactly how he was getting to London.’—

Summary
In 1996, after the battle in the Ministry of Magic Sirius Black falls through the Veil, a barrier between the living and the dead hidden in the Department of Mysteries, in a room pertinently named the Death Chamber. He dies, but as it is later learned, not everything is ever so simple.
Two years later, Lord Voldemort is about to be defeated but doesn’t know it yet. Severus Snape is about to meet his maker as well, to fall into his own demise as the double agent no-one cares to suspect any longer, as he’s proven his loyalty to the Dark Lord by killing Albus Dumbledore. He’s fine with it, ready even, to perish for good. But when death arrives, Severus realises soon enough that for some reason he does not move onto the next life, but rather… onto the past.

Harry Potter had a plan...it wasn't a very good plan, but at least it was simple.
Step 1: Don't die from the insanely difficult ritual
Step 2: Cause as much chaos to the timeline as possible before getting killed and/or arrestedAs it goes, it was really simple...until it became clear he wasn't traveling back in time alone. Now the whole plan has to change.
Step 1: Don't die from the ritual
Step 2: Kill off current Dark Lord
Step 3: Establish following to become new Dark Lord
Step 4: Overthrow Ministry
Step 5: Cause as much chaos to the timeline as possible
Step 6: Keep boyfriend alive and not mad at himIt was a work in progress, but plans hadn't worked out well for Harry in the past regardless. Oh well, it's not like he could make things worse...
