Summary
While fighting an awful hangover that came from celebrating his teams return to the states after being deployed, Buck gets a call that changes his life. He discovers that he has an infant daughter that he needs to claim custody of before she ends up in foster care, and obviously doens't hesitate to meet his little girl; Evelyn.

What better to do on a wonderfully snowy night than sneak out and play in the snow? The Marauders decide that's exactly what they would do, and it was going wonderfully, until they wonder a few meters too far onto the ice of the great lake...
Remus stood over Sirius, his hand outstretched, “Truce? Me and you against Prongs and Wormy?” Remus’s smile was wicked and he had a mischievous glint in his eyes. Sirius took his hand and hauled himself up before smashing a handful of snow into Remus’s hair.
“I work alone,” Sirius cackled and reached down to gather up another snowball, so Remus took off down the ice, away from the shore. He whirled around just as an icy snowball smacked him center in the face. He heard three hisses of sympathy as he tripped backwards, but another sound accompanied them. A sharp crack split through the air.
Remus only had a moment to make eye contact with Sirius before the ice beneath him gave way and he was plunged into the icy depths of the great lake. -

Summary
(I'm pretending that Newt Scamander was born in the 1930's rather than the 1890's, but everything else is pretty much the same. Also the events of the Beasts movies happened in the 50s)
Remus Lupin is only five years old when his family is brutally atacked by Fenrir Greyback. With his dying breath, Lyall sends a call for help to an old friend who owes him a favor. His friend happens to be Newt Scamander, the only man Lyall knows who doesn't belive werewolves are disgusting and dangerous.

“Weird stuff to be honest, kept calling me ‘pretty boy’ which like whatever I get that a lot,” shuffling sounds came through the phone, and Ilya knew Shane was putting his bag down and unpacking his stuff from his game, he was so predictable. “But he really hammed it up, like complimenting me? Like, I know it was supposed to piss me off, but it just felt strange.”

Ilya Rozanov is fine. He comes back from summer in Russia a little worse for the wear, with minor injuries sustained during an argument with his brother. It’s nothing he hasn’t dealt with before. Except someone takes a photo, and suddenly his bruises are all over the internet.
He just has to get through the first preseason game against Montreal. Once the public sees he can play normally, scrutiny will die down.
He doesn’t account for a far more private scrutiny: Shane Hollander is on the Voyageurs roster and, against all expectations, determined to get to the bottom of what happened to Ilya in Moscow.

Summary
Ilya felt one of those phantom pains, this one his hip, from himself at fifteen years old. He hadn’t been scared to fight back at that age. He even relished in it when Alexei or his father had been especially cruel. His older brother had accidentally shoved him into a wall during one of their games, his hip knocking into the hard edge of the doorframe. In return, Ilya threw Alexei into the couch so hard it broke. He’d gotten the belt for it while Alexei walked free.
Or, a post-win celebration has Shane and Ilya in the locker room with their team, play-fighting, and Ilya accidentally bruises Shane's ribs. He hadn't even realized it, but he'd become exactly like his brother.
