Summary

Chloe hadn’t seen Lucifer since he’d rushed out of the precinct on Monday. It was now Thursday.
She’d called and texted, but her voice mails went unanswered, her messages unread. Each morning at the precinct, she’d waited for his elegant figure to descend the steps down to the bullpen without result. She’d looked for him at crime scenes… futilely. She’d nerved herself up to go to Lux the night before. The club had been crowded but the piano had stood stark and dark, unplayed. The server had said that Lucifer hadn’t been down for days. She went to the elevator to the penthouse and saw a rope stretched between stanchions barring the way. Ignoring it, she reached out to press the button. The indicators remained dark. No elevator responded to the summons.
She waited around, tried to call again… sent another text, saying “hey, I’m downstairs… can I come up?”
Eventually, she’d turned and left the club, shaken, and alone...
