Tiberius laughs—Yusuf suspects he does that a lot and marvels at how much joy he can still possess after such a long life. The fair haired man seems to glow with it. Warm and bright like the sun in his fair complexion where Nicolò is cool like a winter dawn or the ocean.
This is how they came to know Tiberius of Scythia, adopted son of Andromache and Quynh, brother of Lykon—now laid to rest—and now their “little” brother despite his superior age. He was a man enamored with humanity, passionate in every action he undertook. He was a man possessed by an air of eternal youth and mischief that was certainly the envy and pride of trickster gods of every pantheon.
