Summary
Harry did not think his adult life would ever involve Draco Malfoy. But it turns out, as it becomes clear that Albus and Scorpius are inseparable, that they will in fact have to deal with each other quite regularly.
Harry doesn’t buy what he’s heard about Malfoy being reformed. Harry doesn’t buy that they were ‘rivals’ in their youth, rather than an aggressor and a victim. Harry needs to find a way to get along with Malfoy and make peace with their childhood without rewriting history.
Draco may not have always been perfect, but now he just wants Scorpius to be happy.

Very few of his things are truly his, these days. The morning after they got back, Ginny watched him from her bedroom window, up at four o’clock in the morning. He walked out of the house like he didn’t want to be in it and burnt all the clothes that Hermione had packed months ago in her tiny, beaded bag. ‘It all smells like damp,’ he said. Sometimes, when he was driving home from the post-office just after the sunset, everything sat in the new-dark, he’d remember when he used to be on watch, sat in front of the tent holding Hermione’s wand with everything going wrong, and how only then he’d let himself think about Ginny. Her voice, long laugh, longer legs, telling him to move over, pass the milk, look left, met her later, skip that flashcard, relax, put Luna in as chaser if it all goes arse up– she’s Ravenclaw but I’ll vouch for her. Dumb hours spent on the Quidditch pitch, sun going down, watching her get shot after shot past him like she even needed the practise. C’mon Potter at least try to save these, you’re making Ron look like Wood. Her hair everywhere, laughing, head back, both of them impossibly far from the ground
