Summary
Draco’s desperate attempt to help during Hermione’s torture at Malfoy Manor unintentionally creates a magical bond that allows them to share dreams and speak mind to mind. As the battle approaches, they must work together while accepting an undeniable pull towards each other, that neither wants to ignore.
After the war, they go their separate ways. Hermione returns to Hogwarts, and Draco joins Auror training with Ron. Four years later, an attempt on Hermione’s life brings them back together when Draco is assigned to protect her.
This story is a canon divergent AU with some direct quotes from Deathly Hallows. It's a slow burn with angst and soul bonding, but very little miscommunication between our favorite couple.
