Summary
The sea could be kind, but it could also be cruel. Every pirate knew this, and Hongjoong knew it better than most. As captain of The Aurora, he had led his crew through calm waters and dangerous storms, but there were nights when even he thought the ship would be swallowed whole.
That was before Seonghwa.
He had first appeared on a night of thunder and wild waves. The ship was being thrown back and forth, the crew shouting as they tried to keep the sails from tearing apart. Just when it seemed the sea would win, a figure rose from the water. Silver scales gleamed under the lighting. Long hair clung to pale shoulders. A mermaid.
Seonghwa slid through the water and curled around the bowsprit at the very front of the ship, his tail flashing in the storm. He sang softly, voice carrying above the wind, and suddenly the waves began to shift. The storm bent around them, calmer where the ship cut through. Guided by him, The Aurora made it through the night.

A kinda "war and peace" x ATEEZ retelling but not really except there is Russian aristocracy, parties and fancy dresses, and everyone is very stuck up. Add A/B/O to it and sad and morally gray characters as well as endless pining and you get this!
