Summary
Bella’s visions have changed everything. She doesn’t really understand the full scope and meaning of them. A higher power is clearly at play but at least the visions of her increasingly violent deaths have stopped. Her birthday party happens, worse this time, but at least that means she’ll be free soon. If only Edward was the last of her concerns. Leah shifting when she did was a surprise, but the vision that followed was an even greater one. Bella has done her best to avoid her without hurting her, but it won’t work for much longer. Time is running out and things are spinning further and further out of control. And now she has to deal with Rosalie and Emmett’s protective behavior. If only she could figure out what it all means.

I gave a lot of thought to how I could die. Depression will do that to you but I didn't expect this. Dying was painful but that was nothing compared to what came after.

I looked into the eyes of Edward Cullen right before my vision went blurry. Countless outcomes flashed before my eyes. I died in every single one, but so did everyone else. Edward either lost control and kept feeding or his siblings picked up after him. A headline read, “Tragedy has struck a small town in Washington State.” I blinked as I came back to myself. Edward ran out of the room.
