It’s been a long day and —” Clark shuts his mouth closed with a clack of his teeth, empty excuses piling up in his mouth. He swallows before trying again. “You know what, it doesn’t matter. I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you, no matter what. There’s no excuse. I’m so sorry.”
