“What do you mean “it had been nice to feel that way about someone?What did you mean by that when you said that about Oscar?” Warren asks, looking confused.
He feels like there’s a missing piece of the puzzle he hasn’t quite got.
Gordon is looking at him with a peculiar mixture of amusement, and trepidation.
“Warren..”
“What?!”
“Cmon man..”
“Don’t cmon man me! I don’t know what your talking about!”
“Warren if you listened to that tape of me talking about him, surely you must have picked up on the “not so platonic”implications of how I spoke about him?…”
Judging by Warrens slack jawed expression, he had not infact picked up on that tidbit of information.
“Oh” he replies eloquently.

“John McAllister,” she said dryly. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”
John tipped his head in a polite but small bow of acknowledgement. “Lady Roland.”
“Don’t call me that. You know I hate when people call me by my father’s name.”
“Yes Ma’am.”
Angel waited but John seemed content to leave it at that. She felt something stirring in her stomach, a rush of anger and upset and embarrassment that she had spent years pining for a man who could barely afford to spare her four words.
“Are you done? Is that all you have to say to me?”
John looked up at that. It may have been her sharp tone or the words that stirred something in him but when those eyes found her they were full of restrained emotion. Something bitter and tragic she did not like the look of.
“My Lady, I have so much to say to you.” He cut himself off, glanced around. Some of that fire dulled and he shook his head. Angel figured it a small amount of progress. “But not here. It wouldn’t be appropriate.”

An AU where that night in Paris ends differently and somehow, despite the odds, Angelina and John find each other again many years later.

“Yessir.” Butch looked up again, could feel Annabelle’s eyes on them both. She was standing by the stairs, leaning on the balustrade, a hand pressed to her lips to hide her expression. She hadn’t said a word since Butch had opened her mouth. “Ain’t no one can handle horses like Annabelle and it is a long trip, sir – long but safe, mind – I’d enjoy the company and Annabelle was sayin’ that there’s a hell of a boutique in Derby. They do fine dresses at a fine price and I was thinkin’ we could go on the way.”

Butch is tasked with driving four horses across the West for the man that keeps her housed and fed. She'll be on the road for 6 weeks in the open country and figures there's nobody else in this world she'd rather run away with for a short while than Annabelle - her best friend and the secret love of her life. They don't know it but by the time they're home again everything and nothing will have changed between them.
(Basically a Western-style road trip wherein Annabelle and Butch learn that they have feelings for each other. Set before the events of 'Never Give Annabelle a Gun!')

And just like that, Harley is plunged right back into the freezing ocean depths.
He chokes on air, “no—I—wh—!”
“Oh my god, are you okay?!” She panics.
“Yes, I’m—fine. Just, uh…” he clears his throat and swallows, “Cordell…what—what could possibly make you assume…that?”
He says that like a cat throwing up an unwanted object at the vet.
(Though maybe, in this scenario, it wouldn’t be…as unwanted.)
OR: Harley is tricked into getting some sleep (a plan that may or may not involve Lancaster). Raddagher and Love are disagreeing and everyone knows about it. Klein feels an unfairly gravitational-level pull towards Alves' room. Cordell is a very willing bystander.
