Summary
The one time between them was an aberration. Youthful folly. Jon knows this without question. For a whole host of reasons. Such as, the Starks have a ski home and a private jet to get them there, while he's struggling to pay a mortgage. It's impossible. Still, it manages to feel awkward every time Sansa's single and she floats around him with soft smiles and teasing eyes. Especially with the sound of the shower running and only a door between them. He shouldn't have had that third beer.

Summary
Colonel Jon Targaryen is a single man in possession of a good fortune who claims no interest in finding himself a wife. With his war wounds, he thinks no young lady would want him anyway for anything beyond the allure of his pocketbook.
Fortunately and unbeknownst to him, Fate has chosen to find a wife for him and will even deliver her right to his doorstep.
Taking on the responsibility of shepherding a young lady about for a Season in London is not at all what Jon had wished to do but he had accepted out of a sense of familial duty. However, once he meets Sansa again after only having met her years ago as a child, he may not consider it a duty so much as a torment.

What if they give in and it turns out they're not married at all?This fic starts after the Long Night and takes place between canon scenes up until the end and continues post canon where we'll get a happily ever after.

Sansa hid her smile as her husband mumbled in his sleep. She had learned early in their marriage that her husband was never one to awaken early, regardless of how recklessly he challenged the court during the day, or passionately made love to her during the night. He cherished his sleep – almost as much as he cherished her, or Ghost.
Chastely she kissed his chest, before trailing kisses up his collarbone, and his neck. She kissed the curve of his jaw and the pink tip of his nose. He was perfect to her, her tongue darting out to lick his nose. On the eve of their engagement, he’d told her that she had lips that were made to kiss; words that she longed to repeat to him.
Only he’d said more –
“You have lips made for kissing, my Lady,” Jon whispered, “A body made to worship, and a soul made for love.”
He’d made her feel wanted when she’d felt as low as the beggars that crowded outside the Red Keep. He saw her as she was; a girl on the cusp of womanhood, with stars in her eyes and nothing to her name.

It’s been so long since she’s had to call him, Sansa begs whatever deity she can think of that his number is still the same. She shifts her weight from one leg to another as she stands in the yard, the phone ringing endlessly to the point she thinks he might not pick up.
But then the line clicks and there’s a brief pause before she hears anything. “Hello?”
“Hey, it’s Sansa.” Her voice cracks and a fresh set of tears overtake her. “Sorry,” she mumbles, clearing her throat.
“Sansa, what’s wrong?”
She suddenly feels guilty for calling; it’s obvious that he had been asleep and she’s disturbing someone she hardly knows anymore. “Um,” she stammers, “I’m at the Pike house on campus. Can you come pick me up, please? I don’t have anyone else to call.”
