Summary
After losing his husband four years ago, Charlie Spring has worked hard to build a comfortable new life for himself: two adorable dogs, a cozy cabin in his hometown, and a rewarding job archiving the works of local gay poet Finn Bryson. But when a film company decides to adapt Bryson's life into a movie, Charlie is hired to help prepare the lead actor. Nick Nelson is a stunningly handsome, wildly popular film star—but as far as Charlie can tell, he's also a world-class snob.
AU with fluff, flirting, karaoke, hayrides, Taco Bell, and a lot of bad disguises.

What a journey. Very lovely story of Nick the famous actor and Charlie the widowed university professor finding each other in the rural mountains. Very sweet, and beautifully told.

Summary
“Oh my god,” Charlie bemoaned, eyes wide, jaw a little slacked. “That is the fittest, most beautiful human I have ever seen in my entire life.”
Next to him, Tori snorted. “That’s exactly what you should be saying at a family reunion, Charles.”
Charlie looked away from the Adonis of a human he spotted a few minutes ago, to glare at Tori. “Shut up.”
He went back to looking at the man, he was standing maybe five meters away, talking to someone else. He was tall, a bit taller than Charlie, he'd probably have to stand on his tip toes for them to kiss properly. He had broad shoulders and arms that could easily pick up Charlie and carry him around if he wanted (and he did). His face was just pretty, even from that far away Charlie could tell he had kind, gentle eyes. He pushed back his hair, which flopped in front of his face, when he moved a little. It was endearingly adorable, really. He even did it when his hair wasn’t even covering his eyes, like it was some type of automatic gesture.
(or Charlie sees Nick at a family reunion and considers the ethics of marrying someone who might be your third cousin)

Summary
Nick Nelson is fed up. With some encouragement from his beloved mum, he decides to head to Cornwall for the summer so he can reset and hopefully even cheer himself the fuck up. There, he meets Charlie Spring; sarcastic and self-assured and a little bit lost himself. It’s amazing what six weeks, near-constant rain and a little bit of opening up can do for you.
or
A love letter to Cornwall, to cosiness, and to love. Hopefully.

This has quietly become one of my most favorite stories on here, like ever. I have always loved it but I can't believe how often I return to this little fic.
