Summary
A collection of illustrations done as part of the WIP-Roundup event at the Acorns and Oak Leaves server. I loved working on this and feel so privileged to have watched the creation of the fic, and being able to draw for it! Every single drawing for this went snowballing on me, in the best way. I highly recommend reading it, and am so happy I got this chance to work with Fantasyinallforms!
TW: There will be whump and angst in the upcoming chapters (I'll warn chapterwise when I post them).

Summary
Bilbo returns to the mountain after two years away, settling affairs in The Shire. When Bilbo arrives in Erebor, much has changed, and there are more than a few new faces. A bad interaction with a guard lands him in hot water, and even after demanding to speak with the king, he finds himself on the other side of Erebors' law and a power-hungry guard.

Summary
Once Bilbo has ambled off, Fíli turns to Kíli, who’s still crunching away at his apple unconcernedly. “… He was just joking, right?”
“Of course he was,” Kíli dismisses. “He’s Bilbo, the sharpest mind in the entire Company. It’s not like he could have missed the fact that Uncle’s been courting him since the end of the Battle. He’s just having us on!”
Or:
In which Bilbo is getting slightly exasperated with the fact that no one will tell him why he has such a big role in Thorin's wedding, what he is supposed to be doing there, and who Thorin's betrothed is. And is also a little confused about why the thought of Thorin marrying someone else bothers him so much.

Summary
“Dwarves tend to use the stones they come from, but here,” Gandalf says, reaching into some hidden pocket of his robes and revealing a handful of very dirty gemstones. “Take these.”
Covered in dirt and all else, Bilbo really can’t see what he’s even looking at. A couple of gems, perhaps, or crystals. Only one tends to be actually cut into the fashion of rings, but the others look like they’ve come from the ground directly. One looks to be a garnet, but that’s the only color he recognizes.
“And pray tell,” Bilbo drawls, “what am I supposed to do with this?”
Gandalf laughs, fully bodied and leaning forward slightly. Bilbo can’t help but stare, half debating on throwing the mismatched rocks right onto the ground.
“Why, give it to Thorin, perhaps? As a token of… friendship,” Gandalf says.

Or Bilbo gives Thorin a gem that means lust. Thorin eventually replies with a flower that means hate. They figure it out in the end.
