But the thought crosses his bloodloss-addled mind regardless; it slides into forethought, bypassing the agony pulsating from his stump of a leg, like the pleasantly mild breeze flowing over his naked skin. His mouth waters unintentionally as he tries to picture what, exactly, is happening just beyond his sight to produce such a tempting aroma.
