Summary
Hermione Granger has no right to turn up on Draco Malfoy's doorstep with a cigarette between her teeth, a familiar heirloom in her pocket, and a litany of agendas hidden in her shadowy potions laboratory.
When she asks him to pull down his walls of occlusion and confront things long buried by assuming the form of his one-time best friend, Draco falters. But vengeance courses through his veins, and there's nothing he craves more than a chance to take down the enigmatic and dangerous Aleksandr Nott.

Summary
Everyone carried scars after the Wizarding Wars - some more visible than others. While stuck on house arrest with very little to do, Draco Malfoy, in his quest to become a Better Person ('Good Person' was too lofty for him to hope to achieve) pursues a silly little idea: a spell that could do the impossible and heal the physical scars left by curses. Quickly two things become apparent: 1. The theory has promise, and 2. It has no hope of success without the aid of an expert in spell crafting and healing magic. That expert is easily identified: Hermione Granger, a lead researcher working for the Ministry and undisputable 'Most Brilliant Witch of Her Age'. After an uneasy start they each find the other person is nothing like they expected, and the 'sparks' they experienced in childhood take on a very different form as adults. Together they seek a way to cure their scars, both physical and emotional, but even with magic - healing is never easy.

Draco and Hermione are house hunting. Not because they need to, he has estates, vaults, ancestral manors with more secret passages than practical bathrooms, but because Hermione is nearly eight months pregnant and determined that they choose a home together.
Which means dealing with nosy ghosts, scandalous realtors, structural mildew, and the chaos of nesting hormones. Draco just wants a basement lab, a warded perimeter, and to ravish his radiant wife against antique furniture without upsetting the local Muggles.
