    Everyone in this Monastery had had years to adapt to the change, to get used to it, to start living it. Jay had mere months, and those months had been spent trapped in his room. He hadn’t been gradually introduced to these changes, he hadn’t experienced things changing one by one.. He was thrown in at the deep end and he couldn’t swim.
