Jungkook understands. He understands that no one in this house must treat Jimin like a human being. He knows that Jimin is as beautiful as he is dangerous, a priceless gem that others are tempted to steal and touch and have their way with. That Namjoon's words are as much of an order as they are a threat, that if Jungkook is to betray his trust his fate will be worse than his hands removed and being left to bleed out.
That Jimin must be so unbearably alone, in desperate need of someone who will treat him like he's a person. A person with autonomy and feelings and worth more than just a thing to be owned.
That the conversation Jungkook and Jimin had last night probably was the only glimmer of light in Jimin's otherwise dark, dark world. A dream they both reached for in a cracked desert when it was just a mirage. The only semblance of a normal life when he had no room left to hope and dream for something else. A memory to hold onto when there's nothing left to grasp.
Like how it was for Jungkook.

Jeongguk made a checklist in his head of things he wanted. To fuck Jimin? Yes. To kiss him? Yep. Hold his hand? Definitely. Cuddle him on the couch and spoon him in bed? Absolutely. Fall asleep with him and wake up with him? Desperately. Be the person Jimin came to when he needed someone? Check. Take him on dates? Uh-huh. Call him his boyfriend? That too.
Jeongguk let his imagination spin out around him. He wanted to cook for Jimin and kiss him while he sat on the counter, getting so caught up in each other that the food burnt and they had to order in. He wanted to shower together and make stupid shapes with shampoo in each other's hair, and then kiss until the water went cold. He wanted to take him dancing, and then slip away to be the one getting him off in the bathroom. He wanted to tuck Jimin's always cold hands into his pockets on walks. He wanted to give him his sweatshirts to wear. He wanted to take him to his favourite restaurants and make sure he ate enough. He wanted to spend all night mapping out ways to make him feel good.
He wanted to take him with him to Sapporo and tell him he loved him under the snow.
"Fuck," said Jeongguk, with meaning.
