Pomni looks over her shoulder, before scurrying to the suggestion box.
She’s heard of the other’s laments over missing their secondary genders all the time. Surely they wouldn’t mind if she just gave Caine a little push.
She quickly scrawls her suggestion on a notecard, and hastily shoves it in the box.
There.
Caine never reads those anyways. Even more, he likely wouldn’t bring back something that has potential to start even more drama.
She just wrote it down to make herself feel like she did something to fix the situation.
That’s all.
Alternatively: Pomni and the other circus members miss their secondary genders. Pomni decides to do something about it.

Jax had gone to that bridge with the sole intention of jumping. He didn't want to be here, and he didn't want to keep existing. He was done with all of it. So of course he just had to get stopped by someone. Of course he just had to not want her to do exactly what he was doing. Of course she just had to be a dick about it and care. So now he's stuck in a deal. They have one year to live, and he thinks that maybe it would be better to go out with a bang. After all, what's the point in living for a whole year if he's not going to do something fun with it?
