Hawks smiles, a hand coming up protectively around her front, as if she’s going to slip out of the thing, despite the fact that she’s strapped in there tighter than a mental patient in a straitjacket.

If Dabi is confounded by Hawks calling him flirty of all things, he's even more confounded by Hawks asking him if he'd like to go on a fake date to squeeze in some life experiences before they (possibly, likely) die in a war.
It doesn't end up being the one-and-done deal that Dabi expects.
If anything, it only escalates from there.
