Summary
The steady cadence of her voice is no longer odd to Cal. Despite how unwelcoming or cold she was in their first encounter on Dathomir, he finds her proximity now calming; a warm presence. Perhaps it's the heat of her planet imprinted in her skin, or maybe it's the ache in her heart; a pain so familiar: an empty space that grows in one's body when they've lost everything. His is grown over and thrumming with the Force, hers with her Magick. Absent-mindedly, he focuses on the contact point of their hands, and when Merrin stands up and takes her hand away, he feels her touch lingering.
