Summary
Wemmbu has spent years perfecting the art of staying invisible. Growing up in a harsh home taught him to hide every fear and mistake behind a calm mask. College was supposed to be his escape, a place where no one knew what he came from. But Spoke’s chaotic friendliness and Parrot’s quiet, observant nature make it harder for him to stay unseen.
When a glass shatters in a café and sends Wemmbu into old instincts, both boys witness the fear he never meant to show. Their concern is gentle, but to Wemmbu it feels like exposure and failure.
