“But what is it?” The tall one asks.
Jimin cringes. “Well. So." He counts it off with his hands. "A very unlikely coincidence or experience bringing strangers together. Faint strings connecting them. Bodies start to ache as if strained for a long time." He decidedly doesn't mention the way he started giving unsolicited head rubs to Jungkook to save his skin. "These are all textbook signs of a soul-bound meeting.”
He might as well have told them the world was ending.
The silence goes on, beyond awkward and tense. Jimin can only drop his gaze to his feet. He will not be the one to break this silence.
Surprisingly Jungkook, who's still at the floor, squeaks out, “Are you saying we’re-”
“Yes,” he replies, sheepishly smiling at him then looking up at everyone else. “Soul-bonded. Or, you know, soulmates.”

Summary
At first Jungkook hadn’t been sure of what he was looking at. All he had seen were the furry ears and a tiny pair of antlers. Shapeshifter? Deer? It hadn’t been until he’d stepped closer that he’d also seen the very human face and body. All curled up, hurt and unconscious amidst the wildflowers suddenly blooming in the clearing.
He’d tried his best to help after bringing the hybrid back to his home. Mending wasn't his magical calling, but he'd done what he could with the natural herbs and remedies he had to hand. Things for minor injuries, which Jungkook had thought was what had happened to this man's arm, until eventually he realised that the pain wasn't letting up, and that this man wasn't improving.
Which was when he decided he needed to call someone better equipped to deal with this. Because Naver hadn’t had any helpful results for him, either, and Jungkook had only been growing more and more worried as time passed. And if a curse was involved, as he anxiously suspected, then he really did need some help.
