When he decided to follow Riddle around, it had been pure impulse. Curiosity. This was the man whose Blood Pop had nearly brought Harry to his knees, after all. There was this need that constantly haunted him, compelling him to be even more reckless than he already was. He just had to know more.

His fantasy was sweet, gentle, almost child-like—innocent. He did not need to cry or whine for attention, he had it. A strong tender man would take care of him, adore him, shower him with the affection and love he had been denied his entire life. He had always liked the idea of having someone to care for him, of being able to rely on someone completely.
