“Oi.”
Sanemi’s rough voice cut through the air. He stepped directly in front of her, scarred face scowling.
“You didn’t say a damn thing the entire time. Not a word. You always do this—sittin’ there like you’re better than the rest of us.”
Giyuu blinked at him, silent.
Sanemi’s irritation spiked. His voice lowered but grew sharper, the kind that cut to the bone.
“You think you’re special ‘cause of that whole ‘I’m not like you’ crap you once spat? Hah? You’ve got zero social skills, your dumb little ponytail looks like a crow’s nest, and don’t get me started on that annoying stare you give everyone.”
His voice rose with each insult, harsh and unrelenting.
And then—
Her eyes shimmered, lips trembling. She looked like she was about to break.
In the softest, broken whisper:
“...why are you yelling at me?”

Maybe being roommates was a bad idea. Sanemi had never been strict and old-fashioned when it came to things, so he thought having an Omega roommate would be perfectly fine. He thought both would be great at controlling themselves and keeping away when one of them was in their cycle. But for the first time, when he can't go to any friend's houses during his rut, he finds it a terrible idea to have a roommate like Giyuu.

Summary
Giyuu likes Sanemi, a lot. He likes him so much, but Tanjiro doesn’t.
The hatred between Tanjiro and Sanemi is obvious, blistering and painful. They barely speak, can barely even look at each other if they’re both in the same room, which has become more common as Tanjiro has climbed the ranks of the corps. Giyuu heard through the grapevine— Tengen, ever the gossiper— that they got into a huge fight during training, which led to Sanemi permanently banning Tanjiro from the Wind Estate. It’s a nasty, ongoing battle. They can’t stand each other.
His two favorite people hating each other. Just his luck.
