“Look, Mumbo, just because you’re allergic to talking about your feelings doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.”
Mumbo looked at Scar across from him, his outline barely visible in the dark. His arms burned. Lamely, he settled on “I don’t want to wake Grian.”
Scar glanced at the man sprawled behind him, sleeping soundly. “I don’t think he’s waking up any time soon. But it doesn’t have to be now,” he reassured, though it wasn’t what Mumbo wanted to hear.
“I’m– I’m fine, honest,” he choked out, and turned around, trying not to feel the man’s burning gaze.
OR
In which Mumbo, Grian and Scar go on a post-exam trip together. Fun, chaos and feelings ensue. Oh, and it turns out that all of them are terrible at packing.
Surely, everything will go exactly according to plan!

Summary
Mumbo both was and wasn’t glad with Xisuma’s presence. On the one hand, he had been feeling really quite terrible and having Xisuma here helped; he was like an anchor point, steady and not spinning madly like the rest of the world was.
On the other hand, though... from the glances he saw when he had the energy to lift his head, Xisuma had been looking terribly worried ever since he'd arrived, and he knew the admin was busy and didn't take enough breaks as is. It didn't look like the admin would be going, or, as an extension of that, resting any time soon. And to make it even worse, having him here meant that he now actually knew just how bad things were.
Mumbo had actually been quite content with keeping the steady decline of his mental and physical health private, thank you.

Summary
The mystery was solved, and the monster had been captured. But Wednesday was still conflicted; her roommate was an enigma to her.
Although the blonde was like sunshine covered in rainbows and the goth was like death's embrace sprinkled with bloodlust, they fit better together than a perfect dovetail. That didn't, however, mean, that there were never any conflicts; even the best-made dovetails can cause splinters. But after every clash, they found each other again like two stars, pulling each other closer with every turn.
Soon enough, Enid wasn't the only mystery that needed to be solved. Wednesday's world was slowly getting turned upside down, with more dangers lurking in every shadowy corner.

Ragatha never cried in front of others.
She didn't want to let the mood down. Ever. Letting people see her vulnerabilities— it wasn't in the cards for her.She was supposed to be the strong one. The reasonable, dependable one. The one you could come to after a particularly awful adventure and vent your problems to when you really needed it.
And, yet. Here she was, finding herself in front of Pomni's door, needing a piece of company so late in the evening. She couldn't even do that right.
