Bruce twists around in a snap of a finger and grabs the weapon, using the guy's momentum against him. He yanks the crowbar, pulling the man forwards. He hits the ground with a loud, bruising thud, only to be grabbed by the collar of his shirt by the Batman. The stout yet well-built man blubbers as he’s shoved roughly against the wall. Bruce growls, eyes narrowed upon the criminal under his cowl. “Start. Talking.” He punctuates his words with a menacing sneer; mainly for the intimidation factor. “Who are you working for? What’s in the crate.?”

Dick should be in bed by now, Bruce thought to himself as he watched Superman send yet another message to an intergalactic Justice League ally which has so far garnered zero responses. His boy would have to settle with Alfred’s accent to lull him to sleep.
The father will apologize in the morning for his unexpected absence, maybe make it up to him somehow… But until then-
“Tati?”
Conversation halted as each adult in the room faced the entry way that dwarfed the small child standing in it.
That child was his, Bruce processed. His boy in the watchtower, in space, not Gotham. Not back at home, safely tucked away in the security of the manor.

Bruce’s brain takes a moment to reboot. “Your parents are in South America?”
“Yes.”
He’s not sure why he’s so surprised – the Drakes are known for their work in archeology, and not much of that can be done locally. Still, he assumed that they took Timothy with them when they left the country for work. It seems a shame to leave him with a nanny this close to Christmas.
“Okay,” he says, erasing the numbers typed into his phone. “What’s your nanny’s number, then?”
“My what?” Timothy looks scandalized.
“Your babysitter? Whoever is in charge of you while your parents are gone,” he clarifies.
“I’m in charge of me when my parents are gone,” Timothy says proudly, his little chest puffing out. “I’m the Man of the House.”

Tim gets to spend Christmas with the Waynes! This will not have lasting consequences, I'm sure.
