Just as Anya stood up to clear her head, there was a light knock on the door.
“Who’s there?”
"Me, obviously.” said a hushed voice, which she realized right away was Damian’s.
Nobody wants to hire a witch, which is why Anya Forger has to leave her town and work at an isolated manor deep inside the forest. There, she encounters Damian Desmond, a disagreeable young master who she soon discovers is a half blood merman. As they pick up the courage to confront their past, an unlikely friendship begins and developes into something more.
