In Jusenkyo, each spring was cursed from anyone who drowned there. And anyone after that falls into one of these springs, they will be cursed to take on the form of that being. One particular spring, the Spring of Drowned Moon Goddess, is said to have been cursed by a descendant of the Moon Goddess.
Our latest victim happens to be a martial artist who is training to become a man among men. Someone who gains the power of the Moon Goddess by falling into that spring. His name is Ranma Saotome. 16-year-old martial artist who is the practitioner of the Anything Goes Martial Arts. Now becoming cursed, he has the power of the moon as well as becoming a girl that fits the image of a Goddess
But not only does he have to deal with this curse, but he also has to deal with the fact that his father made a promise to an old friend that he must become the fiancée of Akane Tendo. The youngest Tendo sister who is not happy with this whole engagement
This is the start of Ranma's journey as he continues becoming stronger, learning new styles, dealing with many colorful characters and potentially finding a cure for the curse. As well as trying to survive the chaos that goes on in Furinkan and the rest of Nerima

Meanwhile, Akane is dealing with several emotions as the sweaty smell of her fellow members of the fairer sex, have begun to have an extreme effect on her, and of course, suddenly seeing Happosai's ghost after stealing a pair of Ranma's girl sweat soaked boxers is not helping.
