“Oh, Maestro,” she sighed sadly, “I could never reject you. But if I am to love you, I must know you completely. That includes your face.”

His head felt light, and his heart began to race. “What can I do to change your mind?”

“Nothing. I must see you, and I must prove to you that you can be loved as you are.”

A fix-it for the 1990 miniseries unmasking scene, in which Christine asks to see Erik's face out of love instead of pity.

“This is what you will wear,” Maestro said, his eyes twinkling in that strange gentle way that endeared him to her. Christine slowly crossed the room from the crates, drawn to the dress as if in a trance. Her fingers reached out, hesitating just above the fabric. “It–It’s beautiful,” she whispered, “But I couldn’t possibly…”
“You can,” Maestro said firmly. “And you will.”
Christine touched the gown at last, marvelling at the soft silk beneath her fingers. “I shall spoil it,” she whispered, doubt creeping into her voice.
“Nonsense,” Maestro assured her, pressing the gown into her hands with surprising tenderness. “The gown would be incomplete without you.”

Cas exhaled. "When an angel's wings are injured," he said to his feet, "the healing process can be augmented by… grooming, I suppose, would be the most accurate word. Removal of the maimed feathers to allow growth of healthy ones. Otherwise, they're left to fall out alone." He tilted his head towards the nightstand. "As you see."

Dean stared at him. "So… that's why I can't help?" he said slowly. "'Cause I can't, y'know… see 'em? Or touch 'em?"

"Yes," Cas said, slightly too quickly, and Dean snorted.

"You're still a shitty liar, Cas," he informed him. "What ain't you tellin' me?"

Margaret has always thought John a careful man, unlikely to be swayed by her words or those of any others once his mind is resolved to a thing, yet she finds over and over again that this is no longer true, if indeed it ever was. He remains achingly grateful for her praise.
