Summary
In the aftermath of the war with Dagur and his Berserkers, the Berkian tribe turns on Hiccup once more. They blame their friendly relationship with the dragons for the conflicts they have faced against both Alvin and Dagur. Nevermind that most are still perfectly happy to have a dragon of their own.
Hiccup's day-to-day life is now just as miserable as it was before he became a 'prodigy' in dragon killing training. When the village isn't treating him like a pariah, they're hurling insults, or sometimes stones, and sneering behind his back. Even the other Riders have bought into it. His only reprieves are his flights with Toothless, which are growing longer and longer, and the time he spends with Astrid. Therefore, when the news comes that Dagur has escaped from the prison on Outcast Island, Hiccup jumps at the chance to track down and recapture the madman.
What he doesn't tell anyone else is that he has no intentions of returning to Berk when he's done. The island he grew up on is a home to him no longer. Settling in on an island outpost with the rest of the Riders, regrettably, following along, frequent encounters with Dagur have Hiccup wondering if the Berserker isn't quite the villain he's always seen him as.

Summary
Shortly after stealing Slytherin's Locket back from Umbridge, Harrie suffers a grievous betrayal and decides she's done with the Horcrux Hunt and the war in general. She strikes out on her own, but it isn't long before she slips up and brings the infamous Fenrir Greyback and the Snatchers right to her doorstep. Hauled before Voldemort, Harrie is surprised when instead of killing her, he offers her a place ruling at his side. She accepts, and finds herself becoming the Dark Lady to Voldemort's Dark Lord, and all that entails.

Slade knows what torture looks like. He’s done it himself, he’s survived it plenty of times. The evidence of it on Jason is clear — bruising on his wrists and throat, missing fingernails, burns on his skin.
He nudges Jason with his boot. “Hood.” He says, loudly. Jason doesn’t stir.
Slade finds Jason after a few days at the hands of Black Mask.
