Summary
Ranma, Ryoga, and Akane, all have... complicated feelings about each other.
Ranma hates how Ryoga vies for Akane with him.
Akane hates how Ranma focuses on Ryoga more than her.
Ryoga hates how Akane's out of reach because of Ranma.
Then, when plans to visit to Ryoga's house cause the three to argue, they each come up with a plan that would get what they wanted. Coincidentally, they're all near identical plans, and all involve age manipulating mushrooms, which causes confusion among the three of them, and the people in the know.
Now Ranma, Akane, and Ryoga are missing, and three kids that showed up are stuck in a situation where the lives they thought they were comfortable with were tested.

"… Akane?"
"Ugh, yes, dummy?"
It took a deep breath for Ranma to get through saying this in one go. "… If I was… Normal. Like, not a martial artist, not magic, whatever. If I was normal, would you still wanna, I dunno, be so, um, close?"
