It always started the same way. With the words 'Your Buckley again...' and Athena's irritated voice. This was usually followed by various variations on the theme of recklessness, impulsiveness and childishness. Honestly, at times like this, Bobby sometimes felt like a shamed parent in the headmaster's office.
Athena is probably the only person who can complain about Buck's antics and quietly admire some of them at the same time.
More precisely, she was the only one. Until one day there were guests from Texas at Station 118.

“What time is it?” Eddie’s voice shifts into something sharp. “Jesus, three AM? Buck, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have called.”
“I don’t mind.”
He meant to be firm, but it comes out soft. Too soft.
He listens to Eddie breathe on the other end of the line.
“He was… before I woke him up. He was saying your name, Buck.”
It’s like the entire world stops. Buck sits, suspended, staring at his bookshelf.
“I’ll be right there,” he hears himself say, pushing up from the bed.
“No, Buck, I can’t ask you to—”
“You aren’t asking. I’m coming. I’ll be there in twenty.”
