It's Theran's first druidic symposium, and Jaheira took him along to form bonds with druids other than her.
Her ulterior motive? To introduce him to Aodhán and Eithne, two siblings who know very well what it is like to harbor more wildness inside of you than other druids.
As such, her hope is that Aodhán can help Theran find the balance he so painfully needs.

Heart shattered, Ash a Bhaalspawn whose sole redeeming quality is she managed to resist her dark urges, has been sentenced to an excruciating death after losing to Orin. Barely managing to wrest the stone from Orin and nearly dying save but for that she insisted on Shadowheart accompanying her, Karlach, Astarion, and Jaheira into that nightmare, Ash now faces a hard choice.
Soon victory will be held in their hands, but Ash's path has become a shattered mess and she knows one thing deep down inside. She would never subject Astarion to watching whatever is about to go down and so in the night after the Netherbrain, Ash leaves Baldur's Gate never to return save for what word of deed comes by bard.
This story is one of loss and redemption and will get dark.

So, it is in the library that Gale now sits, listening with practiced indifference, to the back and forth between his mother and Tara; Tara demands that Gale be afforded time to rest following ‘his ordeal’, whereas his mother insists he is in dire need of companionship. Gale has no inclination towards either; his initial hope of the squabble running its course on its own, however, dwindles the longer it goes on. He supposes, after-all, that having had just over two tendays without such a conversation was more than he could have hoped for.

Summary
Gale returns to Waterdeep with Tav and Astarion to find a cure for vampirism. If Gale were to become Mystra’s Chosen again, he could cure Astarion himself. What they should definitely not do – according to Gale – is consult his old classmate, Evelyn, a necromancer who casts with the Shadow Weave. Unfortunately for Gale, Tav and Astarion are determined to seek her out.
Evelyn, meanwhile, has never explored the full extent of her magic. Embracing the Shadow Weave cost her dearly, and she fears there will be more to pay. Nevertheless she’ll do her best to help Astarion, even if it means working with Gale, for whom her feelings are… complicated.
***If you like two people who are clearly down bad for each other, but have to work through their hang-ups first, this is for you! Despite angsty moments, this is a light-hearted tale of romance and adventure.***
