Summary
Anakin has taken to not leaving his room after being discharged from the Halls of Healing following his amputation. Obi-Wan aches as he watches him moping around and tries not to wince at the desolation that radiates from him. All of his attempts to discuss the battle, the injury and the future fall on deaf ears. So he’s going to make tea, he supposes. A tried and tested method. No matter how angry or upset Anakin is, no matter how sad, he’s never ignored Obi-Wan when he made him tea.

Slowly, Anakin reaches out and lays two fingers against the hollow of Obi-Wan’s throat. His heartbeat is slow and regular. The Force bond between them seems calm and quiet. Anakin tugs on it a bit, just to feel the familiar shape of it, and when Obi-Wan doesn’t tug back, he sighs.
“Master?”

After losing an arm in the battle of Geonosis, Anakin wakes up, hurting, in the Halls of Healing back on Coruscant. He has no idea where his Master is. He’s close, though. He can sense him.

Bob props himself up on his elbows to look at John properly. Lying there between his legs, with his back all scratched up, his hair a mess, he looks – content. He’s getting sleepy and resembles a golden retriever about to take a nap. Deep laugh lines radiate from the corners of his eyes when he smiles like this, and for some time after they all moved into the tower, none of them got to see John like that. Everyone walked around Bob on tiptoes, but he thinks that actually, John was the tough case to crack.

John considers how far the two of them have come since the day they met, and the more he thinks back to that day, the more he wants to slap himself. Bob never really said so, but John knows Bob must have despised him that day; how he likely reminded him of his father, so irritable, so aggressive.
Can a person ever truly change their mind about someone?
John thinks about Bob drifting off during movie nights and resting his head against John’s shoulder; about Bob instinctively taking a step closer to him in the coffeeshop when an old drunk started yelling at a barista; about Bob seeing him shirtless and blushing furiously, choking on his coffee; about Bob looking at him and grinning, scrunching his nose in a way that was growing on John rather alarmingly.

Enveloped by the smell in which he once used to find great comfort and escape, half forgotten memories from years ago creep up on Matt in this vulnerable state of mind, in the moments before he falls asleep. Frank collapsing on top of him, slick with blood and reeking of gunpowder, the world around them shaking, glass shattering, shots firing, Matt’s ears ringing and Frank yelling. Frank collapsing on top of him in a very different scenario, bare skin, hot and sweaty and so, so heavy - with his heart roaring, flying high on the good stuff for once and not on killing. Their aches and sadness receding to the background for a few moments, as if canceling each other out to create something truly enjoyable.

After Fisk’s speech, Karen and Matt part ways at Josie’s and Matt heads to Frank’s place. They need to work on a plan. There’s no sign of Frank, though. It’s fine. Matt can wait.

JEDI ORDER MAINTAINS SILENCE
The Jedi Order has refused to comment on the contents of the intimate private messages shared between two of its members. The messages were released in what we now know was an attempt made by the former Senator Soki to distract from evidence of embezzlement and fraud in his office.
The messages between two Jedi, known as J#CH0ZN1 and J#0B1FKS, reveal a relationship that has been going on for many months. It is unknown whether the rest of the Order were aware of this relationship, and whether or not they approve.

Obi-Wan refrains from sighing in victory. “What sounds fair to you?”
“To just sleep?” The body in his arms turns. “Another $200.”
“Alright.” He doesn’t know what the going rate is, and doesn’t care. $300 to be delivered safely back to his hotel, comforted, and given a good night’s sleep seems like a fine price to him. “What’s your name?”
“What for? You’re not writing me a check.”
Obi-Wan smiles wryly. “I keep calling you ‘kid’ in my head. I’m starting to feel like a bad old man.”
There’s a long-suffering sigh that Obi-Wan feels with his entire body, and then a reluctant, “Anakin.”
