Yellow, on Jynx: Appears to move to a rhythm of its own, as if it were dancing. It wiggles its hips as it walks.

Somehow, in spite of this, he was still able to feel horror—horror from the visceral fear that came of something approaching his eyes in such a manner, and horror at the knowledge of what it meant, what misfortune lay ahead of him.
And, too, he was able to detect his magical pool shrinking—familiar from when the orb had attacked him, and made his body and soul its home. This gave another layer of horror to the experience.
After that, though, as the pod closed, his awareness went dark—and he feared, when the body next woke up, it wouldn’t be him doing the waking."

Summary
I got inspired by "How Kakashi got Adopted by the Nara" by Voldecourt, and this series is the result. It's how I think things could have gone down afterwards between Shikako and Kakashi.
The premise for this series is that Shikako shadow-bonded to Kakashi to save his life during a mission, disregarding the social consequences that doing so might have on her. This isn't something that could be hidden from her clan, due to it's effects on Shikako and Kakashi's shadows, so Kakashi is honorarily adopted as a Nara. Obligations, expectations, and traditions then all come into play, as Kakashi learns Nara lore and shadow techniques.
I've headcanoned that Voldecourt's fic was preceded by events similar to Tirfarthuan's "Shikako Mindwalks Kakashi" (it's posted over on the Recursive thread pgs 281-283). If you've not read them, I encourage you to do so!
