Branches snag on Rusty’s cloak, like fingers clawing out of the dark, grasping at her from the depths of the shadows. She trips, only barely catching herself on a nearby tree. In the back of her mind, a voice screeches at her to go, go, GO.
It’s always the same. You just run and run and run and run until something gives and you’ve made it another day or you're looking down the end of another Shadow’s sword.
Rusty was so tired of running.

He thought he stabbed correctly, stabbed deep enough. He didnt.
Marmalade was still alive- undead? She was still moving, and she wont rest until herself and Avid are safe together again.
