“Fine, fine.” She waved her hands. “I can order some pizza and go buy strawberry jam from the grocery store.”
Jackie grinned. “Thanks, babe.” She said, seemingly satisfied.

Summary
Maybe it was a lack of sleep for the past few days, maybe it was the cold, maybe it was the lack of food or perhaps it was everything going on with Shauna. The faces kept morphing. Jackie didn't believe they were really there. Why would they be there? They all hated her. Jackie felt so tired. Like the world was closing in on her, a warm blanket of darkness surrounding her. She desperately wanted to lean into it. Feel his warmth. Yet she looked over at the faces- morphing into vivid colours, shapes- Laura Lee was there. She was the only one who wasn't turning, pink, green, yellow, orange or red. Just purples, blues, whites and blacks. As soon as she saw Laura Lee she knew her life was running out. She had no energy left to run. She had no tears left to cry. She just focused on Shauna, the others becoming a blur. Pink, red, green. Now yellow. There was a bundle in her arms. A joy, expect without even looking she knew the bundle's face was the same as Laura lee. She wasn't supposed to be here. Shauna soon became her own blur. A faint smell of hot coco filled the air, as her eyes dropped and fell shut. At the same time as a man's voice was distantly heard.. Was she too late?

Mellowness meets Shauna in Jackie’s eyes. ‘Guilty,’ she admits.”
