Summary
Soul contracts. Tying one's essence to another and ensuring that it cannot escape. Trapping the contractee into a cage with no way out. The other, equally horrible option is to have a soul stolen from the one it belonged to. Leaving them to rot with someone who could exploit them to their own ends.
Out of the two evils, Vaggie would rather take the former. With someone she knows well, of course. The Princess of Hell.
But said princess is appalled by the idea. In her desperation to find a solution to this problem, she stumbles across an old ritual that her father had made, in Hell's infancy.

Summary
Passion is such a fickle thing. One moment, their hearts were filled with a raging inferno as they chased their dreams; the next, mere embers of something that once was as a cold reality set in.
Nemona, an uncrowned champion that chased greater heights with zeal now finds that it is lonely at the top and her will to continue is ever-fading. Arven, a son once loved and cherished, wants to save his only remaining family but now lacks the strength or support from others to. Penny, a vigilante who united those who fought for justice must now turn the hammer of justice on her former comrades, if she can muster the will. And a young man who moves back to Paldea, drifting along aimlessly in life, who seems to have known what it was like to chase a dream with reckless abandon.
As spring begins anew in Paldea, these four small embers that once roared brightly cross paths. With a bit of luck, newly formed and to-be-tested friendship, and no shortage of effort as they walk the long road ahead of them, the passion for the things they once held dear may burn strongly yet again.
An adaptation of Violet with a focus on intertwining the otherwise three disconnected storylines and fleshing out the Paldea region.

Canon Divergence; Spoilers for main gameplay.
Dr. Turo dies as in cannon but he gives one last command. AI Dr. Turo's programming embodies his last wishes to the T. Once it has made all of the advancements it can per protocol, AI reevaluates Dr. Turo's final command and decides to fix what Dr. Turo left broken. Too bad robots don't quite understand the nuances of human emotions and relationships, or human morality, or angsty teenagers with abandonment issues and sandwich obsessions.
Not looking good for Arven and the squad.
Or; Pokemon Violet went in on Arven's daddy issues arc and I want to make them worst. Mostly follows cannon? I might be lying. (Previously titled: death can't kill daddy issues but AI can make it worse)
