“Look at me,” Jason said. Not a command. Just quiet, grounded instruction.
Dick let him. He didn’t fight it.
Jason turned his head to one side, then the other. Checked his pupils. Tracked his eye movement. Touched under his jaw like he was feeling for a pulse. The contact should’ve felt weird—it was Jason—but it didn’t. It felt like something between a battlefield check and a brother’s worry.
Jason’s brow furrowed deeper. “Because there was a shit ton of leftover fear toxin in that building,” he said finally, voice controlled and low. “You didn’t smell it?”
“I mean…” Dick hesitated, trying to recall. “There was a chemical smell. I thought it was just oil or rust.” He blinked. “Oh. Is that why the hallucinations were worse this time?”
Or Dick doesn't realizes he's been effected by fear toxin and spills to everyone that he's been hallucinating.

“Dick Grayson.” The voice was barely more than a whisper, but it kept catching him off guard. He would be almost asleep, so close to letting himself relax just enough to collapse into any semblance of rest, and then he would hear it. After checking for any sort of device that could be stowed away in his apartment and half-way destroying each room looking for someone hiding, he gave up on trying to find the source.
After three days, he had turned off his phone. He thought that it would be better to just turn it off than smash it when the next person tried to call him.

Dick stood up, looking into the mirror one last time. His eyes gazed away from his own features and met Jason’s, standing in the kitchen doorway, frozen.
Jason stared into the mirror into Dick’s eyes. And to his surprise, Dick just smiled. He bowed his head slightly, leaving the bathroom, and walking into the bedroom, not sparing a second glance. As if Jason were never there.
He knew that he saw him.
