was a normal warm Saturday afternoon, in what was supposed to be fall. The two of them were having their weekly brunch at Blake’s favorite cafe, when the question tumbled from Sun's mouth, words muffled by his banana nut muffin he'd just taken a bite out of.
“Have you ever thought about trying online dating?”
Blake paused with her tea cup halfway to her lips, caught off guard by the out of the blue question tossed at her. She blinked slowly, staring across the table at her friend who looked at her expectantly, waiting for an answer. Sure, it was an innocent enough question, and honestly it's not like Blake hadn't thought about it before.

- her reputation, but that was a slope she’d come to realise was a blessing,
- her family; again, nothing to cry over there— she only has her dad, after all,
- and her arm. that was a stark loss.labelled a delinquent and forced with a year of probation, she’s shipped off to the renowned atlas academy with one singular goal: make it through the year without getting into trouble.
nowhere did they say to avoid reforming the shitty adults within atlas one by one by entering their minds and forcing them to repent. neither did they tell her not to fall for a woman that could lead her to her downfall, or her salvation, simply depending on her mood.
but hey.
at least life is more exciting when you have a personification of your psyche that can hurl fire at your foes. it’s just a pity she can’t use her extracurricular activities to skip classes.

Yang thought of all the possibilities of what she could do. She looked down at Cecilia who looked up at her, those golden eyes that seemed to sparkle despite everything that had happened. The mother’s words echoed in her mind as she made her decision.
“Please take care of her.”
She didn’t know what the future would hold, she knew it would be bumpy, but in her mind, in her heart, she knew this feeling was right.
(Ex-firefighter Yang adopts a faunus. Her entire life is now focused on her daughter. But once she promises her family not to do any more dangerous jobs, she’s left wondering where to go from there. By some twist of fate, her daughter’s favorite celebrity has an opening.)

There was no way to kill Salem, but... what can you do except try? Ruby knew this battle would take more from her than she had left to give. The Battle for Remnant took place in the realm where Grimm spawned and Salem claimed domain. Years of fighting and losing and pushing through has led them to this moment. But this battle, the final battle of the war, would be told to children for centuries to come. Witnesses would conjure up their own mythic of the moment, and parents would filter out the grotesque nature of war, but the simple moral of the story would be engrained in every child of Remnant after this moment: The Reaper harvested the witch's soul, guiding her to a place beyond Remnant where the evil witch was defeated for good. And upon return, the Reaper guided a long-lost soul home out of the Great Door where nobody returns unchanged.
But those stories were for children. The stories of the epic battles and unrealistic heroes that never fail were just stories.
This is a story about the end... and what came after.

She's already robbed him of one thing he covets by finding the strength to step out from under his shadow, now she's going to make sure that he loses the object of his ambition too.Capturing a grimm is the first step in Blake's plan. But when she awakes next morning, she finds a raven-haired woman in the place where the grimm is supposed to be, and suddenly Blake's plans don't seem as concrete as she once thought.
Her heart isn't helping matters, either.
