Park Jimin has it all.
A high-powered job in corporate finance that he secured immediately post-graduation from SNU, three rich and influential lovers who shower him with money and gifts, a designer wardrobe, and ownership of a penthouse in Gangnam. And yet, he cannot help but feel hollow.Despite graduating top of his class in finance at Yonsei, Park Jihoon, Jimin's identical twin brother, has a vastly different life. Married to his university sweetheart, Kim Taehyung, he lives in a small cottage on Taehyung's parents' farm in Geochang. Having initially married for love, Jihoon now finds himself depressed and disillusioned with what his life has become.

Taehyung learned to swim almost before he could walk. He holds a deep fascination with everything about the sea, including the mythical creatures that reside within.
Though he's never actually seen any merfolk, Taehyung has a sixth sense that alerts him to their presence.
One morning he is out swimming alone when he finally sees one from afar. Determined to get a closer look, he swims too far out and is almost killed by a fierce riptide.
The merman, however, saves Taehyung from plummeting to his death on the sea floor and takes him home to recover.
When Taehyung comes to, he is in the palace of Hoseok, the Mer-King and is being tended to by the King's brother, Jimin. Taehyung is informed that 'land-dwellers' are not allowed in the palace and so he must lay low until he is recovered enough to go home.Simple, right?

Hoseok's phone is hooked up to the speakers and their collaborative playlist is on shuffle. They've been given free rein to inhabit their bodies however they wish and nothing is off the table.

Jimin thinks everything is fine until he notices the way Taehyung is looking at him. And then he grinds a little too low and feels both how massive Taehyung is, and the fact that he's getting hard underneath him.

All seems to be going well until they check in at their hotel, only to find there has been a mistake with the booking and only one room is available. The hotel is fully booked due to the conference, and neither Jimin nor Taehyung wants to move to another hotel.
So, they agree to share the room. Again, all seems to be going well until they set eyes on the very transparent glass wall of the shower that faces directly into the sleeping area. Being sensible adults, they agree to only shower when the other is busy.
Jimin falls asleep first. Taehyung is restless. Torn between going out for a walk and toughing it out, he has the bright idea to shower while Jimin is fast asleep.

While searching for jobs, he happens upon an interesting advertisment. The artist Vante, is looking for a muse to help renew his inspiration. Captivated by Vante's photo, Jimin is determined to apply. He gets the job.
Shortly afterwards, Jimin is evicted and needs somewhere to live. Staying with his friends Jungkook and Seokjin long-term is not an option.
