Buck’s brain must short circuit a little bit then. There’s no other explanation. It’s a moment of insanity. It’s Eddie, saying the exact words Buck needs to hear at exactly the right time. Like he always does. It’s a bolt of lightning to the chest, a shock to the system.
He surges forward and kisses Eddie. Before he can think better of it, not thinking at all. He doesn’t have the words to express everything he’s feeling at that moment, it’s all he can do.
OR: Buck worries about Theo. Eddie helps.

Summary
A fic where Eddie and Hen get trapped in the elevator and Buck's on the other side.
“You can’t do this to me again, Diaz!” Buck’s choking on a sob and Eddie’s heart clenches. “Yeah, I called you ‘Diaz’ so you better come out of there and kick my ass, you hear me?! You’re not dying on me! I’m not watching you die!”
Eddie chuckles weakly.
“I can hear you laughing in there, asshole! It’s not funny!” He yells through his tears.
“Buck-”
“NO! Don’t you dare say goodbye to me! I need you, Eddie!” He cries.
Eddie’s heart is breaking at the tone of Buck’s voice.

“No. No. I’m - - locked out. Theo is locked in. Well - - he locked himself in. Accidentally. I think. I’m pretty sure. Anyway, I need your key. I need your key really fast. Theo! Buddy. Please. Don’t eat that. That’s not for eating. Theo. Theo. Don’t - -” Buck lets out a loaded, patient breath. “Ideally as fast as you can.”
Or, Theo locks Buck out. Eddie comes to the rescue.

Summary
He puts his hand down into the dirt and sifts through the top layer until his fingers hit what he found. He brushes the dirt off until he notices it’s a ring.
A golden wedding band.
He finds the water bottle next to him and pours it over the ring. It begins to sparkle in the light as he washes more dirt off of it.
He’s kneeling on one knee now, holding the ring up into the light, noticing the olive branch engraved into the metal and he’s trying to get a good look at the engraving in the middle when he hears:
“Yeah.”

He pauses and Eddie, newfound lover of juice, decides the best way to solve this sticky situation is to lick the back of his hand. Clean. Like a fucking cat. Cleaning its babies or itself. “-Not so sticky anymore and it tastes pretty good.”
“We can’t lick ourselves clean, Eddie.”
Eddie hums, “We could lick each other’s bodies clean instead.”
“What!?” Buck chokes.
“Hm? What? Who said that?”
