This might be one of the most personally triggering fics for me. It's also deeply relatable and real.
Max is stuck with her incredibly abusive and powerful parents, while also being a closeted transwoman. She is not ok, and it hurts. I love her relationship with Chloe, and how they do what they can to help eachother while recognizing how trapped they both are in their shitty situations.
