This is a canon divergence that starts in S4 E16 with Faith waking up in the hospital but taking a different course of actions than the ones she does in canon. I wanted to explore what their dynamic might be like if Faith didn’t steal Buffy’s body, because ironically I feel like it gives them more chances to interact with each other.
This is my first fic I’ve ever written and I’d love feedback!

When Zoey visited her family in Burbank, she didn't anticipate running into a huge wolf-like demon. And it bit her. But she’s sure it’s fine. The bite will heal. And the fevers and chills and aches she’s having are just side effects of the rabies vaccinations the ER doctors gave her because she couldn't tell them the animal was a demon. And those side effects continue for a month because she’s having a bad reaction to the subsequent vaccine doses, which sucks but she’ll be fine. It’s all going to be fine. Right?
