He survived the Upside Down. He survived watching Mike love El. He survived California.
How hard could sharing a tiny dorm room be?
Turns out: impossible.
Their room at Indiana University is absurdly small—three feet between beds, no space to hide. And Mike won't stop touching him. His hand on Will's thigh during study sessions. Walking around in towels. Looking at him with questions Will can't answer.
Four weeks of tension. One fight. Seven days of silence.
Then the party.
Mike's hands on his hips. His body pressed close.
"I can't stop thinking about you."
Neither can Will.
Some feelings run too deep to ignore—even when the distance is only three feet.

Summary
It rolls, it rolls, it rolls, Will is clenching his hands into fists so tight his knuckles are white, bracing himself, preparing himself.
He’s so focused on steadying his breathing, on wrapping his heart in a guard of barbed wire before the blow lands, that he doesn’t quite see the number on the dice.
Mike lets out a shaky breath next to him. “It’s a seven.”
Will runs through the list in his head. Three times, before it clicks. He thinks he might throw up.
“C’mon, Wheeler. Don’t keep us waiting,” Max teases, and Will finally catches the satisfied gleam in her eyes.
A 20. He gets twenty minutes locked in a linen closet with Mike.
Two years ago, he would have been jumping for joy.
But Mike won’t even look at him.

Summary
Halloween 1997 is pure chaos thanks to Ethan Rayne. However, rather than the generic noblewoman dress, Buffy goes back to pick out something a little different. A little more... regal. The change in costume unleashes a whole lot of other changes for Buffy and Spike both.

Will raises his eyebrows. “Is that why you came in here?” he repeats, looking back down at the blue flannel. “To ask me about the weather in Lenora?”
“Kind of,” Mike says, and then, “well no, not about the weather specifically. I just– I wanted to talk to you.”
“Oh.” And Will looks a lot more surprised at this, actually, than the idea that Mike might have just wanted to come to his room to make small talk about unseasonably frigid California winters. “Okay. What about?”
“Anything.” The response is embarrassingly immediate. “Everything. I don’t know. I missed you.”
Hawkins, 1986. The world is ending, there are too many people in Mike's house, and to top it all off, he and Will have some things to talk through.
